Algund enjoys over 300 days of sunshine a year! Thanks to its protected valley location by the mountain range of the Texelgruppe, Algund has a Mediterranean microclimate with lots of sun and mild temperatures. Due to the favourable climate, Mediterranean plants such as palms, cypresses, laurel, myrtles and cedars thrive and blossom here. It is not for nothing that Algund is also called the garden village.
